Prof. Petros Maragos was invited as a Keynote Speaker at the 2025 Greeks-in-AI Symposium, Athens, Greece. Tutorial by Prof. Petros Maragos at AIDA Symposium on AI/ML Cutting-Edge Trends

Prof. Petros Maragos was invited as a Tutorial Speaker at the AIDA Symposium and Summer School on ‘AI/ML Cutting Edge Trends' (AIDA AICET2025),  jointly organized by the Artificial Intelligence Doctoral Academy (AIDA) at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece.  His tutorial, entitled  "Tropical Algebra and Geometry for Machine Learning and Optimization”, was given on the 16th July 2025 and was attended by conference participants with physical and remote presence.

CVSP NTUA team wins BEEU challenge organized at ECCV2020

The National Technical University (NTUA) team, consisting of ​Panagiotis-Paraskevas Filntisis, Niki Efthymiou, Gerasimos Potamianos, and Petros Maragos​, has won the data modeling challenge, based on the BoLD dataset, of the First International Workshop on Bodily Expressed Emotion Understanding, organized in conjunction with the 16th European Conference on Computer Vision (ECCV-2020), 23-28 August 2020.
